Custom-made wedding dress in the Alpes-Maritimes (06) and the Var (83)

Will you get married in Nice, Antibes, Grasse, Mandelieu, Monaco... or in the Var, in Fréjus, Saint-Raphaël, Saint-Tropez, Toulon? At Moret & Co, in Cannes, we have been dressing wedding guests from all over the Côte d’Azur since 2013. A custom-made wedding suit is two to four appointments in Cannes — grouped together if you’re coming from far away — and a tailored outfit for you starting at 700 €.

The store is located at 13 Boulevard Carnot, five minutes’ walk from Cannes Train Station. By car or train, it takes 20 minutes from Antibes, 30 from Nice or Grasse, 40 from Monaco, 45 from Fréjus and Saint-Raphaël, and a little more than an hour from Saint-Tropez or Toulon.

Each appointment privatizes the boutique: you come alone, with your future wife, your children or your partner. Witnesses or your father, from Tuesday to Saturday morning, by appointment only.

The first meeting — the discovery appointment — takes an hour and a half: the place and season of the wedding, the dress, your tastes, then the fabric, the cut, the lining, the buttons, and the fitting. Then, two to four tries adjust the outfit until it is perfect.

For the couples from the Alpes-Maritimes, each try-on takes an hour. For those from the Var or from further afield, we group the steps into two or three sessions, and a last-minute touch-up can be done the day before the wedding, workshop on site.

Timelines: ideally three months before the date; six to eight weeks remain possible, and an express line, limited to ten outfits per month, allows a try-on and delivery within two and a half weeks depending on the period.

A July wedding in Saint-Tropez, in a vineyard in the Var or on the beach of Juan-les-Pins does not call for the same quality as an October ceremony in a village perched in the hinterland of Niçois. We work with cold wools, linen and wool-silk blends from the great Italian and English dressmakers (Loro Piana, Vitale Barberis Canonico, Scabal, Holland & Sherry): light, breathable, and suitable for all day wear.

In terms of style: two- or three-piece suit, blue, beige, sand, sage green or burgundy; navy or ivory tuxedo for an evening in Monaco or on the Croisette; waistcoat, bow tie, clutch bag and worn-out shoes matched. The custom wedding suit starts at €700: two pieces in merino wool, semi-lined construction, pattern made to your measurements, 2 to 4 try-ons and adjustments included until the day of the wedding. Three pieces, exceptional fabrics and hand-finished details are calculated on a quote after the discovery meeting. Bespoke shirts from €100, custom-made shoes from €330.
